I Lost $15,000 in Tools. I Couldn't Prove I Owned Any of Them.
We're building a tool inventory system for electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, contractors, and other tradespeople. No spreadsheets. No guessing. Just proof when you need it.
After 25 years in the trade, my truck got hit. Everything gone overnight—meters, hand tools, power tools, specialty gear I'd collected my entire career.
Insurance asked for receipts. Serial numbers. Proof of ownership.
I had nothing. Just empty shelves and a sick feeling.
Most of us accumulate tools the same way. A new set of Knipex here. A Fluke meter there. That pair of Kleins your old man handed down. None of it documented. All of it irreplaceable when it matters.
I'm building something to fix that.
I'm building a simple way for tradespeople to document what they own—so when the worst happens, you're not starting from zero.
This isn't built yet. I'm an electrician and electrical technologist with 25 years in the field. I'm building tools for people like us—starting with free calculators at Offset Notes, and now this.
If you've ever had tools stolen, almost had them stolen, or just know you couldn't prove what's in your van right now—I want to hear from you.
I'll reach out personally to everyone who signs up.
